I've searched online but it turns out there are quite a few adult films with this title.

The one that I'm after is the one that opens with women applying make-up while a Kiss-type rock song plays ("Skin tight, baby come on!"). It's based in a clinic where men are treated for sexual problems. It's a 70's film, as far as I know. I can't think of anything else to give you at the moment ...

Oh, I've just remembered a scene. A blonde girl wants to stay a virgin until she's married. So her fiance (who is famous in adult cinema but I can't remember his name right now) tells her she'll still be a virgin if she lets him through her back door. As he sliding it in, he says "If it hurts, tell me. I won't stop, but tell me". Quality dialogue! :D

But ... I'm sure someone will get it from that? If so, please do you know if it's on DVD ... uncut? :)

I have this on DVD (twice, regular & extended version) but have yet to watch it, so I sat down to the terrestrial premiere on ITV last night to take a look. I was pretty disappointed with it, I have to say. Too long (twice as long as the 30s version, a third longer than the 70s one), too much unbelievable and shoddy looking CGI (the missus said at one point 'you can tell its not real', which was exactly what I was thinking). Video game-style fights, with Kong tossing Ann from hand to hand while taking on three dinsoaurs, instead of one etc. This had shedloads of money poured into it, but to no avail. There seem to be two opinions on the film, as evidenced by this old thread. What do people think now?

Ive been a closet fan of Dick Miller for years-there was a time when you couldn't watch a cult movie without seeing the great man popping up somewhere or other.
I was watching Evil Toons last night, and was surprised to think nobody seems to have ever started a thread on this underrated actor.Time to put that one straight.
Sadly I have not seen him in anything since Joe dantes loony toons-back in action, hell he has not even been in anything done by Joe since,(and his meant to be his lucky charm).:(

MY FAVE TOP 5 DICK MILLER CAMEOS.;)

1.The bookshop owner in the howling.his favorite).
2.The terminator-he sells Arnie his first oozie 9 millimeter. Does this mean James Cameron's a fan.;)
3.Dead Heat-yes he was in this, his cameo as a security guard was sadly deleted but can be found on the region 1 dvd.Ironically for years I wondered why he had not cameoed in it,the film was tailor made for a miller cameo. So that deleted scene was a nice surprise.
4.Evil Toons-Just because I can.;)
5.Demon Night-That scene with Dick and all those topless women must have been a reward by the gods of filmmakers for all his entertaining cameos over the years.seriously, his cameos have even made bad movies entertaining.:)

Anyone else as amazed as I was to see a deleted scene on the pulp fiction dvd with dick miller and Harvey. Why the hell did that get cut out.
Makes me wonder how many cameos his been cut out of over his long career.

Anyone else here a fan of Dick?-(add your own gag here).:p

I've just come back from town with a handful of new Hardgore DVDs from the depths of my local Pound Land. Along with the usual junk they try and shift for Halloween they have a new display with a bunch of new discs like they did last year. There are a heap of new titles along with a few that were in it last year.

I walked away with

Hitch Hike to Hell
Psycho Sisters
The Wickeds
Vampires Vs Zombies
Hellmaster
The Child

There were a bunch more and I'm sure I'll pick them up eventually. Last year I discovered the wonders of films like Patrick, Thirst and Turkey Shoot so I'm hoping there will be the odd gem here as well. Are any of the above any cop? and what does your local branch have in stock?

Its quality that this looks to be a reoccurring thing. Everyone loves a blood soaked bargain.

Two writers from the US version of The Office have been recruited to write a third instalment of Ghostbusters, according to trade newspaper Variety.

Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky's hiring is seen as a sure sign the long-mooted comedy will finally be made.

Ghostbusters and its 1989 sequel saw Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as bumbling scientists who rid New York of paranormal threats.

It is hoped the new film will reunite the original cast.

Columbia Pictures has declined to comment on whether a third Ghostbusters was in development, Variety reported.

But director John Landis, who worked with Aykroyd on The Blues Brothers and Trading Places, has said the film would definitely be made.

"I'm not involved but I know it's happening," he told the BBC News website at the Venice Film Festival.

Eisenberg and Stupnitsky recently collaborated with Ramis on the script for his new film Year One.

Last year the original Ghostbusters cast signed up to lend their faces and voices to a computer game based on the hit film series.

The game's storyline was being written by stars Aykroyd (Ray Stantz) and Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler), who also scripted the first two films.

But the game's future was thrown into doubt when publisher Activision announced it would not be releasing the finished product.

Developers Vivendi insisted the game had not been cancelled, and that it would be published by another company.

Ouch - the US version of the office was awful. Oh well, to be honest I can't get excited about another Ghostbusters movie either....

Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has signed a four-picture deal with film studio Universal that will keep him occupied for the next decade.

The Hellboy director will remake Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Frankenstein and Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five.

According to Variety, though, the deal will probably begin with a film of the Charles Dickens-inspired novel Drood.

Before that, however, del Toro has to direct two films based on The Hobbit and other works by JRR Tolkien.

Produced by New Line and MGM, the Lord of the Rings prequels will be del Toro's main priority for the next four years.

After that he will devote himself exclusively to Universal, producer of his most recent film Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

The director said he saw the agreement as "the renewal of my marital vows with Universal".

"Guillermo is in the most prolific time of his life," said Donna Langley, Universal's president of production.

"We came out the other side of some tough conversations with a stronger bond and sense of long-term commitment."

Scheduled for publication in 2009, Dan Simmons' novel Drood offers a fictional interpretation of the life of Charles Dickens as he prepared to write his final novel, The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Slaughterhouse Five, in which a prisoner in a German POW camp during World War II travels through time and space, was previously filmed in 1972.

A new movie starring Mickey Rourke as a professional wrestler has received a rapturous response at the Venice Film Festival.

Actor, hellraiser and one-time professional boxer, Mickey Rourke has taken plenty of punches over the last 15 years.

But a film in which he plays an ageing wrestler could put the '80s heart-throb back on his feet.

In The Wrestler, the 51-year-old plays Randy "The Ram" Robinson, a washed-up fighter who is told another bout in the ring is likely to kill him.

Screening in competition at this year's festival, it is directed by Darren Aronofsky of Requiem for a Dream fame.

According to Rourke, the filmmaker didn't pull any punches. "He was brutally honest," he tells BBC News.

"He sat there and said, 'You're a great actor but you messed up your career and no one wants to hire you.'

"'I have a film I want to do with you. But you have to listen to me, you must never disrespect me, you can't go out every night - and I can't pay you either.'"

Rourke got off to a promising start in acting in the 1980s with films like Diner, Angel Heart and the infamous Nine-and-a-Half Weeks.

But he failed to live up to his potential and became better known for his off-camera activities. In the 1990s he briefly returned to his original career of boxing.

"I didn't mind what Darren said about screwing up my career, because I did do that," says Rourke. "I didn't know how to get it together for a long time."

A chance to return to the limelight came and went when Rourke turned down a part in Pulp Fiction.

In 2005, though, he gained rave reviews for his supporting role in dark comic-book saga Sin City.

The Wrestler, he says, is the next step on the comeback trail. "I'm thrilled about this movie. To me, it's a blessing.

"I've been out of work for 15 years and I truly believe this movie will turn things around."

His role as a scarred, pumped-up fighter with long blond tresses and a capacity for self-destruction has impressed the critics at Venice.

According to Variety, it is "a galvanising, humorous, deeply moving portrait that instantly takes its place among the great, iconic screen performances."

Rourke says his boxing background was no help for the intensive three months of training he had to do for the gruelling wrestling scenes.

"I didn't have a lot of respect for wrestling," he reveals. "I thought it was just entertainment.

"Then I found out these guys take 10 years to learn how to land on the floor without hurting themselves.

"I just landed like a brick. My neck went, my back went and I spent more time in the doctor's office than I ever did in six years of boxing."

Even more painful was the realisation he would have to delve into his own past in order to bring "The Ram" to life.

"What frightened me was I realised Darren needed me to revisit some dark places where I didn't want to go," he explains.

"I didn't want to think about my ex-wife, or my family. But I knew he would want his pound of flesh and there was no way I could skirt round it."

The actor even admits relief when the film was temporarily cancelled. Now, though, he acknowledges he has been given a second chance.

"I didn't realise it would take so long for me to patch things up," he says. "But it's not about raising hell and thumping my chest with me now.

"I don't have another 15 years to sit on the bench. Hey, I have splinters in my ass from sitting on the bench for so long."

The Wrestler will be released in the UK in 2009.

I know there are wrestling fans around these parts, and Rourke can be decent.....

Corman has a bit of a reputation as being a B Movie hack - but it's films like this that inform us that he was actually a good director. The Tomb of Ligeia doesn't find room for much humor, it's a sad tale of a man lost to his dead wife, who in moments of lucidity during the day can be broken from his revelry by a desire to move his life on, fall in love, enjoy things again. However, some legacies are too irresistible.

Every time you watch one of these Corman/Poe films you wonder if it can possibly get better - and of course, it does. Vincent Price is wonderful here - stalking the grave site of his dead wife, disappearing at night. The evil black cat stalks around the room, snatching up items and running off with them, and women - drawn to the mystery - try to unfold the past with intent that's difficult to make out.

This is a simple film, and all the better for it. If I had one complaint it's that the climax goes on a bit to long, as given what's gone before, is overly dramatic (these Poe films all seem to end in the same way). But no matter - it's great for all that.

Highly recommended.

Well, here's a happy way to start an evenings entertainment. A heavy literary based tale - and even if you don't read fiction, this is one of the exceptions, if you've never read it, step away from the computer now and hop off to the local bookstore (it's a classic, every book store has it). Proles, rats, Julia, and room 101 - brought to the screen with incredible performances from John Hurt and Richard Burton.

It might upset one, but if there's one weak link in this film it's the soundtrack credits for the Eurythmics. Basically we have a dark, foreboding broken world, something locked into the past, industrial, dense... with some synths popping up every now and again. The only trick they were left with was playing in a low register - but really they should ave left well alone.

Still, in no way does it spoil the overall feeling of this film. It's simply amazing to watch- heartbreaking in fact. Terms like "Big Brother" have fallen in the common lexicon these days, and therefore is misunderstood and used inappropriately - watching this film should put you back on track.

When watching it I thought a remake with Christian Bale in the lead would be terrific. Not that it needs remaking, because it's just great here.

A heavy film this, so don't expect any laughs, but wonderful viewing, everyone should have one.

Basically, there's not much plot: Simon Brent is an ad designer in London witha beautiful wife (Lisa Collings) and a young son. He also has several women on the side. She also has a man on the side. They go to Italy (which looks suspiciously like Dorset) together. They have more affairs, eventually splitting and coming home separately. Then they get back together. The End.

I didn't write 'spoilers' at this point because there really isn't much to spoil!!!

I shall finish this post later, I'm out of time in this library.......

In the last two weeks I've had two separate Shriek Show discs (Slaughter Hotel & Seven Bloodstained Orchids) break up/pixelate badly/freeze completely making them unwatchable. Some years back I also had problems with the playback on Flesh for the Beast which would skip and break up intermittently. I've been buying DVDs for best part of a decade and had very few problems with playback so I guess it may be an encoding issue. Has anyone else suffered the same, particularly with Shriek Show discs? I have quite a few (including a number of as yet unwatched titles) and it's making me a) want to watch any that I haven't to make sure they're okay and b) be extremely cautious about buying future discs...

Anyone else?

Another new review from me over at my website The Celluloid Tomb. On this rainy Friday evening we are taking a journey into the mad, mad world of everyones favourite closeted sexual deviant cum exploitation filmmaker Andy Milligan as I review his MIA 1974 horror effort Blood.

Anyone who wishes to read my review can do so by clicking here.

I have to say that of all the Milligan films I have seen to date this is easily one of his most entertaining and accessible, I enjoyed it a lot. Whilst as ineptly made and woodenly acted as ever (this is a Milligan film after all) at only an hour in length its really too short to outstay its welcome and Milligan piles on the hilariously lousy gore and make-up effects, man-eating plants and offbeat characterisation.

Highly recommended to fans of bizarre, trashy no budget films and obviously existing Andy Milligan admirers will lap it up. Personally I laughed until my sides almost split! :D

As always any comments/feeback on my review ae most welcome. I know from past discussions there are a fair few fellow Andy Milligan fans on these boards and I really hope they'll be sharing their thoughts with me. You know who you are... ;)

On another note regular visitors to my site will notice I have tarted this particular review up with the addition of some screen shots from the film itself. I hope this improves the look of my review pages if nothing else.
